Holden is married with two young children and lives in Thurston.  He has worked at a senior level in the voluntary sector for nine years; he is a member of West Suffolk Local Strategic Partnership.

Holden says “I applied to become an independent member of Suffolk Police Authority because I want to ensure that local policing services are accessible to all communities, and in particular, that services are accessible to those most likely to be fearful of or vulnerable to crime.”
