Currently, Joanna is Chairman of Suffolk Police Authority. She is a member of the Safer Communities Board of the Local Government Association, which is currently spending a considerable amount of time in discussions with the Government about the future accountability arrangements for policing.
She says "In my time on the police authority I have worked with five Chief Constables and am confident that we have an excellent top team at present which puts us in a strong position to respond to the current challenging financial reductions at the same time as a major change to police authorities"
