Liz lives in Bacton, near Stowmarket and has worked primarily in the community and not-for-profit sectors for over 30 years. She currently works as postgraduate tutor for the Open University Business School and as a Lay Chair for the NHS, chairing appointment panels for junior doctors across the Eastern region. As a member of the Police Authority she is a member of several county and regional groups, including the West Suffolk Community Safety Partnership and Suffolk Roadsafe Board. Liz is also an assessor for the Senior Police National Assessment Centre. She has been a volunteer with the RAF Charitable Trust for over 25 years and is also a volunteer search team leader with Suffolk Lowland Search and Rescue.
Liz says:“ I applied to become an independent member of Suffolk Police Authority because it is essential that policing decisions are transparent and that the Constabulary are held to account. Also, I personally value the work of Suffolk Police and I believe it’s important for the community to have a voice in how the county is policed.”
