Sandra has lived and worked in North Suffolk for the past 20 years, before which she travelled widely working in many countries around the world. As a teacher in Suffolk she worked for many years with teenage pupils who found it difficult to fit into the education system and wanted to use this experience to help address the problems and concerns about anti-social behaviour in the county.
She is also a Trustee and Treasurer of the Fisher Theatre in Bungay, a project that aims to enhance access to the arts and therefore contribute to the social well-being of the local community by providing entertainment of a high quality, together with interesting spaces for functions such as weddings and conferences.
She is committed to being an Independent Member of the Police Authority because she believes that Suffolk is one of the safest places to live in England, and wants to help convey this message to her local community so that those who feel vulnerable can increase their sense of security.
