Claire Swallow - Deputy Chief Executive

As Deputy to the Chief Executive, Claire is responsible for supporting the Authority to fulfil its responsibility for ensuring an efficient and effective police force for the area. Claire’s portfolio currently includes consultation and community engagement, human resources, communications and she also performs a key role in managing the Authority’s performance management framework, strategic development and strategic planning. Claire’s previous public sector roles include head of regulatory and democratic services for a local authority, and head of the executive support function for the then Chief Constable of Suffolk Constabulary. Claire has also held a number of positions in the Private Sector and was the proprietor of a busy retail company.

Claire gained a Master’s Degree in Business Administration (Public Sector) from Warwick University Business School in 2006. 

She is also a Senior Selection Assessor for the Senior Police National Assessment Centre.
