Chris joined the Police Authority staff team on 1 July 2007, having previously worked as a qualified accountant in the NHS in Suffolk since 1988.
Chris is designated as the Authority’s statutory Chief Finance Officer and as such is responsible for ensuring that appropriate advice is given on all financial matters, for keeping proper financial records and accounts, for internal audit arrangements and for maintaining an effective system of internal control.
Chris also has responsibility for arranging for the determination, issue and transfer of the annual Police Authority precept.
